Cookies and PORTUGUESE RISSOES



Peanut Butter Cookies          
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup peanut butter 
1/2tsp salt
1/2  tsp  baking    soda     1 cup all purpose flour
1/2tsp vanilla  
Cream butter .add sugar s .beating until creamy . Mix in egg. peanut butter ,salt and baking soda.Blend in flour slowly add vanilla and mix well /.Roll into small balls or drop teaspoonfuls and place on a greased cookie sheet , Press the balls flat with a floured fork . Bake in a moderate oven 350 F 10 - 12 minutes .  this recipe is from a Five Roses a Guide to Good cooking   Was my first Cook Book  on 1967
